Phil Celia
For a lot of young artists it’s about being a star, and I was once young too. But what I’ve come to realize is, it’s about sharing and touching people in a way that’s positive and meaningful. It’s about getting someone to think about something, help to get through something or relate to something. It’s about making an impact on the lives of others. That is the role of an artist. That philosophy is the driving force behind my music and, indeed, my life. With over half a century of life experience behind me, I hope my music has become a reflection of the man I’ve become.
Hailing from Hanover, New Hampshire, Dark Philosophy’s debut album Silent Winter has a straight forward and soothing sound that is as heart felt as it can get. The band consists of singer/guitarist Phil Celia, cellist Lindsay MacIndoe, drummer Bob Sparadeo, and bassist Aaron Thomas. Beyond just playing music, they wanted to convey through their songs the isolation that comes in times of searching and sorrow.

Eric Richardson on electric stand-up bass, renowned percussionist Steve Ferraris on Conga, Djembe, Balafone and various percussion elements. Recorded and produced at Mad Dog Studios in Venice, CA in 1983 and remastered and re-released for its 30th anniversary, MD3′s dance-funk grooves and classic “analog” re-mixes really get it down.
Shannon Celia
Shannon Celia has been composing songs and had a guitar in her hand since the ripe old age of eight. Studying music through college she loves contemporary country music, is a painter and writes books. She finds living near the beach an inspiration and owns an online company: seahshop.bigcartel.com. If she isn’t creating art of some kind, she can be found seeking out vintage treasures and outside hiking the gorgeous California trails.
Perry Celia
