In searching for a Brand New Home, I sit by the Fireside and make a plan to Travel On. Setting my sights on the west, I choose north of LA just outside of Circus Town. I tell the girl by my side there’s Nobody Like You and that with her I am Never Lonely. She’s always been there to help me keep the faith that with my Out of Tune Guitar I will be heard. She’s always there to Catch Me When I Fall. So I ask God to Shine the Light and we’re gone ….

Stockholm Street

For a lot of young artists it’s about being a star, and I was once young too. But what I’ve come to realize is, it’s about sharing and touching people in a way that’s positive and meaningful. It’s about getting someone to think about something, help to get through something or relate to something. It’s about making an impact on the lives of others. That is the role of an artist. That philosophy is the driving force behind my music and, indeed, my life. With over half a century of life experience behind me, I hope my music has become a reflection of the man I’ve become.

Acoustic Philosophy is a New England based “folk fusion” trio. Eric Richardson on electric stand-up bass, renowned percussionist Steve Ferraris on Conga, Djembe, Balafone and various percussion elements. Phil Celia is the primary singer/songwriter and acoustic guitarist in the band.

Silent Winter

Hailing from Hanover, New Hampshire, Dark Philosophy's debut album Silent Winter has a straight forward and soothing sound that is as heart felt as it can get. The band consists of singer/guitarist Phil Celia, cellist Lindsay MacIndoe, drummer Bob Sparadeo, and bassist Aaron Thomas. Beyond just playing music, they wanted to convey through their songs the isolation that comes in times of searching and sorrow.

While I’m in the studio working on my follow-up to 2010's “Stockholm Street”, I’d thought I’d digitally release some of the music I was making from when I first started making my own recordings in 1980 through 2005 before the genesis of "Stockholm Street". Sort of a 25 year time-capsule. So here is Anthology & Archives 1980-2005.

Songs of Men

The songs on "Song of Men" were recorded from 1989 through 1993 and complied for release in 1996. "Some Men", " If I Were a Carpenter" and "Lucky Man" were the first recordings I made on my own in my new "home" studio in Pasadena, CA during the summer of 1989. After a move east, I recorded the remainder of the songs in my Connecticut home between 1991 and 1993 and after a move to New Hampshire in 1996 I released my first solo record "Songs of Men" - a tribute to my father.
